AliCat Cottage is a charming, turn of the century, 2-story summer home situated on the shores of Lake Champlain in Chazy, NY.

This green cedar shingled cottage is fully furnished offering three double bedrooms, one and a half baths, kitchen, dining room, open plan "Adirondack style great room" featuring an extraordinary open-hearth fieldstone fireplace, and three screened-in porches; two 35 feet long with full lake views. The property comfortably sleeps 8 people.

This is an independent home on a ¾ acre lot providing exclusive use of the property. Newly refurbished, it is a unique vacation retreat that will keep you coming back year after year.

The property is flanked to the West by the largest Macintosh apple orchard in the world and to the East by Lake Champlain.

Amenities include a mooring, rowboat, barbeque grill, picnic tables, volleyball, badminton and croquet. There are two State boat-launch facilities within ten minutes in either direction.

There is protected river dockage 3 miles away upon request.

Airport Information:Clinton County Airport, Plattsburgh, NY is 20 minutes away, serviced only by Continental. Burlington, Vermont; Dorval/Mirabel, Montreal, Canada are International Airports 1-1½ hours away.

Area Attractions: Dinner cruises on the Spirit of Plattsburgh, La Ronde, The Great Escape, Santa's Workshop, Parc Safari, Ben and Jerry's, The Alpine Slide in Stowe, VT; High Falls Gorge, Whiteface Mountain and the Olympic Village, Saranac Lake, Ausable Chasm, and historic Fort Ticonderoga, just to name a few!

The Lake Champlain Ferry offers twice hourly crossings from 3 New York to Vermont destinations that provide an excellent opportunity to view the best of the Green Mountains of Vermont and the Adirondack Mountains of New York from the middle of Lake Champlain!

Weekly bookings are taken from Saturday - Saturday with check-in and check-out at 2:00pm and 10:00am respectively. There are no laundry facilities on the premises but the local provider, Champlain Laundry and Dry Cleaners will pick up and deliver twice weekly upon request.

On verbally agreeing a booking we will ask you to complete a booking form and to send us 50% of one week's rent (in order to secure the booking. We ask you to pay the balance not later than EIGHT WEEKS before your arrival date and reserve the right to re-let the house if the balance is not paid by this date.

A deposit of £300 against damage and leaving the house in an unacceptable state is payable with the final balance. This will be returned one week after your departure less any deductions due.

If paying by credit card, please add a 2% credit card fee - debit cards are free-of-charge.

We recommend that you have a car (rentals available with Max Travel).
