The Resort.
La Rosière, being situated on a south facing slope has a well deserved reputation for brilliant sunshine and also an excellent snow record - there is often a heavy snowfall at Easter which ensures that the resort often stays open until May.
La Rosière is the only resort in France to offer heli-skiing through its link with La Thuile in Italy. You can be wisked up to the Ruitor Glacier and then start a 2100m vertical descent in the powder snow you've always only dreamed about! Contact usfor details and cost.
La Rosière 1850m The home resort is 400m above the chalet and takes 15 minutes to reach by car. The skiing is excellent both for beginners and intermediates and for those wishing to make day trips over to La Thuile in the Italian valley of Aosta, thereis a draglift over the Little St Bernard Pass. Les Arcs 2000m First-class skiing and easily reached by a lift at the bottom of the valley at Villaroger, 15 minutes away by car.
Tignes 2100m Excellent skiing, but the resort can be a bit bleak for those who like trees and ambience. This is amply provided by the resort of Ste Foy.
Ste Foy 1550m The best kept secret in the valley! It offers only three lifts up to 2700m, but magnificent off-piste skiing. The pisted runs are quite challenging too. This as yet unspoilt resort is regarded by some as the mecca for snowboarders.
Val D'Isère 1850m 25 minutes away by car and too well known to need describing.
Courchevel and the Trois Vallees are also within easy reach.
