Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Hotel.

Upon arrival in Egypt you will be met by our representative and assisted with visas and transit through the airport to board your coach for the journey to your 5* hotel. Your rooms will already be prepared and waiting for you to take immediate occupancy. This will give you an opportunity to freshen up.

Depending upon your flights and time of arrival, you might wish to retire to bed or orientate yourself with the hotel and its immediate locality.

Day 2: Giza Plateau - Pyramids of Khufu, Khafra and Menkaura. Tombs of the Nobles. The Great Sphinx and the Sphinx and Valley Temple of Khafra.

Visit the Egyptian Museum, Cairo, and discover the treasures of Tutankhamen.

Day 3: Citadel, Cairo - (Stronghold of Saladin and the Mosque of Mohamed Ali).

Visit to the Stepped Pyramid of Dzhoser and the Tombs of the Nobles - Merreruka.

Day 4: Coptic Cairo - Early Coptic Churches and sites visited by the Holy Family. (also optional excursion to "Garbage City" a religious site claiming many miracles and has unusual and unique carvings and art).

Day 5: Domestic flight to Aswan and visit to Aswan High Dam and the Unfinished Obelisk. Settle into hotel.

Day 6: Free day with optional excursions to Abu Simbel (two temples of Ramesis II carved from the solid rock), or, a felluca ride to visit a Nubian village. (The Nubians were displaced when the Aswan High Dam was built and this is an opportunity to see how these people live a simple existence).

Day 7: Leave hotel and embark on Cruise boat. Excursion to Kom Ombo (a temple dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek. Cruise overnight to next destination.

Day 8: Visit Edfu Temple (dedicated to Horus, the falcon headed god, and one of the best preserved temples of Ancient Egypt dating from the Greek period [Ptolomys, Cleopatra etc.). Pass through the lock at Essna during the night (an interesting engineering feat for those who might wish to stay up to see this).

Day 9: Moor at Luxor early in the morning. Excursion to the West Bank - includes Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queens, Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut or Tombs of the Nobles. Stay overnight on cruise boat.

Day 10: Visit Karnak and Luxor Temples. Optional excursion in the evening to Sound and Light show at Karnak (depending on flights).

Day 11: Return Home. Flight either directly to UK from Luxor or domestic flight to Cairo for connecting flight to UK.

 NB. Throughout the trip breakfast is usually taken in the hotel or onboard the cruise ship before leaving for the day's excursions.

Lunch will be taken at around midday in excellent local restaurants.

Dinner, each evening, is usually served in the hotel or onboard the cruise ship unless otherwise stated.

Airport transfers in Egypt and all transport throughout the trip is included. Entrance fees to the sites of antiquities, museums, etc are included, (except for optional excursions taken during free time).
