15 Day Itinerary

Delhi - Jaipur - Agra - Kanha - Bandhavgarh

The Golden Triangle is a perfect way to begin your travel to India, which includes the major sights of Delhi, Taj Mahal in Agra and the pink city of Jaipur and then you can continue and discover the wildlife of India. Bandhavgarh, a key Tiger Project reserve; and Kanha, an outstanding park that inspired Kipling.

Day 01: London to Delhi

Depart London Heathrow on your overnight flight to Delhi.

Day 02: Arrive Delhi

Arrive Delhi. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Overnight stay.

Day 03: Delhi

Full day guided tour the city, The tour will include major land marks of Old and New Delhi, The sights include Humayun’s Tomb, The Red Fort, Qutab Minar and India Gate. Overnight stay.

Day 04: Delhi to Jaipur by road 260 Kms / 05 Hrs 30 Mins Approx

Morning drive to Jaipur. Upon arrival check in at your hotel. Afternoon half day guided tour of Jaipur visiting the delightful Palace of Winds, City Palace Complex and the fascinating Astronomical Observatory. Overnight stay.

Day 05: Jaipur

Morning excursion to Amber Fort, slowly meandering up the steep ascent perched atop and elephant. Time to relax in the afternoon with an opportunity to visit the colourful bazaars. Overnight stay.

Day 06: Jaipur to Agra by road 237 Kms / 06 Hrs Approx

Morning drive to Agra. En-route, visit Fatehpur Sikri, the deserted capital city of the great Mughal Emperor Akbar. Upon arrival check-in at your hotel. Overnight stay.

Day 07: Overnight Night Train to Bandhavgarh

Unforgettable morning visit to the Taj Mahal, dedicated to eternal love. Also visit the Red Fort – a World Heritage site – and tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah. Late afternoon train for a night journey to Bandhavgarh.

Day 08: Arrive Bandhavgarh

Morning arrival at Umaria railway station or Katni Railway station(Depending upon the train in which we get the reservation) and drive to Bandhavgarh National Park. Afternoon game drive to get an initial flavour of the park. Overnight stay.

Day 09: Bandhavgarh

Morning and afternoon jeep safaris. Bandhavgarh is considered to be one of the premier parks for tiger grassy swamps and forested valleys provide the perfect camouflage for this predatory beast. Overnight stay.

Day 10: Bandhavgarh

Morning and afternoon safaris by jeep safaris. The park was a former hunting reserve of the Maharaja of Rewa – today, a sanctuary, with more than 35 tigers roaming the jungle. Overnight stay.

Day 11: Bandhavgarh to Kanha by road 250 Kms / 5 Hrs Approx

Drive to Kanha National Park. Famously known as Kipling Country and a dedicated Tiger Reserve. Kanha and the nearby forests were the setting for Rudyard Kipling’s delightful Jungle Book. Imagine the mighty Sher Khan prowling close by as you watch and wait, secreted in your ‘hide’! Kanha is India’s outstanding National Park with about 30 species of mammals and 240 species of birds. Overnight stay.

Day 12: Kanha

Morning and afternoon jeep safaris. The variety of habitat gives rise to a wonderful mix of animals to spot – the grassland plateau is home to the Gaur (Indian Bison) and four-horned Antelope whilst in dense slumps of forest shy jungle cat and civet roam. Here Project Tiger is actively pursuing conservation projects in the park, increasing the chance to see tigers. Overnight stay.

Day 13: Kanha

Another day of game safaris looking for sloth bears, swamp deer, bison and the elusive leopard. Feel the echoes of Kipling’s books as you drive through the lightly wooded grassland where wolves and dhole lie in wait.

Day 14: Kanha – Delhi by an overnight train

A farewell morning safari before driving to Jabalpur railway station to catch the overnight train to Delhi.

Day 15: Delhi to London

Early morning arrival in Delhi. Transfer to airport for onward journey.
