Kumarakom - Periyar - Houseboat - Cochin
Kerala is one of India’s most beautiful state. Endowed by green jungles, palm-fringed beaches, rolling hills, tea plantations and paddy hills, tea plantations and paddy fields. One can also witness colourful Kathakali dances, game viewing by boat, a night on a luxury houseboat; the combination of culture and tranquility makes it perfect for honeymooners the world over.
Day 01: London to Cochin
Depart London Heathrow for your overnight flight to Cochin.
Day 02: Arrive Cochin
Cochin – Kumarakom by road 85 Kms / 02 Hrs Approx
Arrive Cochin. Upon arrival you will be met and then drive to Kumarakom. Upon arrival in Kumarakom, check-in at Kumarakom Lake Resort. Overnight stay.

Day 03: In Kumarakom
Kamarakom, a backwater destination, is home to the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. Take a boat ride at sunset to see the birds relaxing at night. Overnight stay.
Day 04: Kumarakom – Periyar by road 185 Kms / 04 Hrs Approx
Morning drive to Periyar – a part of the Project Tiger Scheme and also home to large herds of elephants, bison and deer. Upon arrival check-in at Spice Village. Take an evening boat ride on Lake Periyar. One of the most fascinating wildlife sanctuaries in India renowned for the herds of elephants and scenic beauty. Overnight stay.
Spice Village:
The Spice Village is set amidst a beautiful spice garden close to the Periyar Game Reserve. Each of the guest rooms are housed in cottages inspired by the dwellings of the native tribesmen of Periyar. The cottages are spacious and comfortably furnished with a verandah running around the entire cottage. Facilities include a swimming pool, buffet restaurant serving Indian and international cuisine and an ayurvedic centre. For those who want more than just a taste of the delicious Kerala cuisine, cooking classes are held by the Chef every evening.
Day 05: In Periyar
Morning at leisure. In the afternoon visit plantations of tea, cardamom and pepper. Overnight stay.
Day 06: Periyar – Kottayam by road 119 Kms / 02 Hrs 45 Mins Approx
Kottayam – Embark on your Luxury Houseboat
Morning drive to Kottayam. At noon your houseboat will pick you up at the resort and you will embark on a remarkable journey through the coconut-palmed canals. Your houseboat crew will take care of your every need, cook you delicious Kerala food and show you the places of interest. Overnight stay on a Luxury Houseboat.
Day 07: Alleppey – Cochin by road 65 Kms / 01 Hrs 15 Mins Approx
In the morning you will reach Alleppey. After breakfast you disembark from the houseboat and drive to Cochin. Upon arrival check-in at Brunton BoatYard. Afternoon city tour of Cochin, including the Dutch Palace, St. Francis Church, Jewish synagogue, Chinese fishing nets and Spice market. Overnight stay.
Brunton Boatyard
Designed and built in the style of the early Dutch and Portugese architecture of Fort Cochin, The Brunton Boatyard blends very well into the Cochin skyline. It is situated at the harbour mouth overlooking the busy ship channel providing all rooms with a magnificent view of the sea and the delta. There is never a dull moment out there for boats of every size and color constantly ply the waters. The rooms feature at four poster bed and spacious en suite bathrooms with separate shower.
Day 08: Cochin to onward destination.
Transfer to airport to board your flight for onward destination.
