15 Day Itinerary
Delhi – Agra - Jaipur - Mandawa - Bikaner - Jaisalmer - Jodhpur - Udaipur
Rajasthan has long been regarded as the genuine home of traditional Maharaja’s – A land packed with Forts, Palaces and painted Havelis (Mansions). Stay in a Palace hotel, enjoy a ride on Camel’s back & an Elephant’s back, dine and dance in sand dunes.
Day 01: London to Delhi
Depart London Heathrow for your overnight flight to Delhi.
Day 02: Arrive Delhi
Arrive Delhi. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Overnight stay.
Day 03: Delhi
Full day guided city tour of Old and New Delhi. Among the principal sights are the Red Fort, the Jama Masjid, Chadni Chowk and Raj Ghat in the Old city area and the Government Buildings, with a drive through the Rajpath to the majestic India Gate, the Humayun’s Tomb and the Qutab Minar. Overnight stay.
Day 04: Delhi – Agra by road 204 Kms / 04 Hrs Approx
Morning drive to Agra. Upon arrival check-in at your hotel. Afternoon half day guided tour of Agra including Taj Mahal – the monument of eternal love, Agra Fort – built by successive Mughal Emperors & the Itmad-ud-Daulah. Overnight stay.
Day 05: Agra to Jaipur by road 237 Kms / 06 Hrs Approx
Morning drive to Jaipur. En-route visit Fatehpur Sikri – the deserted capital city of the great Mughal Emperor Akbar. Upon arrival check-in at your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay.
Day 06: Jaipur
Full day guided tour of Jaipur, Morning excursion to Amber Fort, slowly meandering up the steep ascent perched atop and elephant. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Jaipur visiting the delightful Palace of Winds, City Palace Complex and the fascinating Astronomical Observatory. Overnight stay.
Day 07: Jaipur – Mandawa by road 160 Kms / 04 Hrs Approx
Morning drive to Mandawa. Upon arrival check-in at your hotel. Afternoon guided tour of Mandawa, a small town, that has many havelis and temples. The terrace of the rugged Fort provides a panoramic view of the town. See the extraordinary frescoes on the walls of the houses. Overnight stay.
Day 08: Mandawa – Bikaner by road 167 Kms / 04 Hrs Approx
Morning drive to Bikaner. Upon arrival check-in at your hotel. Afternoon guided tour of Bikaner city, which is bolstered by imposing walls and has a 16th century Fort housing old Palaces, temples and a mosque. Founded by Raja Rai Singh, the Fort is distinguished by its long range of pavilions, a line of balconies and aerial windows of varying designs. An enormous arched doorway leads to the Joramal Temple. The royal chapel is Har Mandir where royal weddings and births were once celebrated. Visit the old Fort built by Raja Rai Singh. Overnight stay.
Day 09: Bikaner – Jaisalmer by road 310 Kms / 07 Hrs Approx
Morning drive to Jaisalmer. En-route, visit Deshnok Temple, see the miracle temple of Karni Mata, presiding Deity of the Royal House of Bikaner. An interesting feature are the rats that are worshippers of Karni Mata in the form of Bards and are present in large numbers within the precincts of the temple, thus also known as Rats Temple. Continue your drive and check-in at your hotel. Overnight stay.
Day 10: Jaisalmer
Morning sightseeing tour of Jaisalmer including a visit to the Fort, the Gadisar Lake and the famous Havelis – some of the most exotic ones being the Nathamalji ki Haveli, the Patwon ki Haveli & Salim Singh ki Haveli. Afternoon excursion to Sam Sand dunes. Enjoy a sort camel ride. Overnight stay.
Day 11: Jaisalmer – Jodhpur by road 298 Kms / 07 Hrs Approx
Morning drive to Jodhpur. Upon arrival check-in at your hotel. Overnight stay.
Day 12: Jodhpur
Full day guided city tour of Jodhpur visiting the Mehrangarh Fort, situated on a low sandstone hill, including Moti Mahal and Phool Mahal. Later visit Jaswant Thada, an imposing Marble Memoriam built in 1899 and the museum located in the Umaid Public Gardens. Later visit Mandore, the ancient capital of Marwar, which was abandoned for strategic reasons. Overnight stay.
Day 13: Jodhpur – Udaipur by road 290 Kms / 07 Hrs Approx
Morning drive to Udaipur. En-route, visit the exquisitely carved Jain temple at Rankpur, famed for its hall with 1444 pillars of which no two pillars are similar. Continue your drive and on arrival check in at your hotel. Overnight stay.
Day 14: In Udaipur
Full day guided tour of Udaipur city. Among the places visited are the City Palace – a majestic architectural marvel towering over the lake. A conglomeration of courtyards, pavilions, terraces, corridors, rooms and hanging gardens. The main entrance is through the Triple arched gate “Tripolia” with eight marble porticos; the Jagdish temple – built in 1651 by Maharana Jagat Singh, this Indo – Aryan temple is the largest and the most beautiful temple of Udaipur with note worthy sculpted images & the Saheliyon ki Bari with its many fountains. A highlight of your trip to Udaipur is a sunset boat cruised on the beautiful placid Lake Pichola. The lake is surrounded by hills & Palaces including the beautiful City Palace, temples, bathing ghats and embankments. Overnight stay.
Day 15: Depart Udaipur
Transfer to airport to board your flight for onward destination.
